Type 1 - A framed circular datestamp 25 mm in diameter, with 'PARCELS POST' round the top, 'BRISBANE' round the foot, and one very short bar at each side; the date is in two lines in the centre, month and day over the year in two digits, and a code figure '1' above the date and below the 'LS' of 'Parcels'. This is the only Brisbane parcel post type with the date in two lines

Rated 2R but due to the size of the datestamp and the fact that they were applied to parcels, clear and complete examples are surprisingly hard to find. Good clear examples therefore command a premium. Campbell listed this type in his book as type 2
