Type 10 A continuous roller type, with each impression of 'GPO' letters 4 mm high and 11 mm in width, separated by 6 unbroken lines or bars. Only one dated example has been seen by me, dated June 1868. Listed by Campbell but no example or illustration shown by him or Wytenburg. Rated 5R
It is possible that the examples that look like tyre treads are a different type of continuous roller without the GPO impression every 6 lines. An good clear example on cover would be needed to confirm this
Only seen on Chalons and most examples are partial cancels and look similar to these. On the left seen at Ebay and on the right seen in the H L White collection, State Library of NSW
- GPO Obliterator type 10 (June 1868) rated 4R - $35 on stamp, $100 on cover
