Dead Letter Office Record No (D.L.O. Record No) Handstamp

The Dead Letter Office Record No. Handstamp is known used on a handful of postal items from 1908 onwards. It would appear that this handstamp was for internal DLO use only and  was applied to postal mail in error.

It is a two lined handstamp reading "D.L.O RECORD" on the first line and "No" followed by dashes for a number to be written in manuscript on the second line within a rectangular frame with squared corners, measuring 40 x  17 mm
