Type 2 An unframed circle 28.5 mm in diameter with two long, curving arcs around the top and 'BRISBANE' round the foot in 3 mm high letters. In the centre are the year in two figures at the top; the month and day in the middle, and a code letter at the foot. The only code letter seen so far is 'B'

Dates range from 19 December 1862 to 2 March 1867 and it is usually seen on Brisbane Gas Company correspondence. Rated 4R
